Adventure journey

A son of man

No; son of sam

Transforming all strife

On a journey through life

Softly, seeking some meaning

Searching and Keening

For someone to lean on

Something to believe in and bond

With some memory of a life you had

Before you began this long journey, though it’s not so bad

You smell of Nature’s Spirit

You stink of the Siret

River where you drowned and found belief

In something greater than yourself, without grief

So full of it

So full of optimism it almost makes me sick

But believe me

I’d trade it all away if I could see

The beauty of openness

That you swim in every day; the closeness

Of love and the knowledge that the men and women

Around you are living a life a lot like you, and Heaven

Is a brief set of sitting in a forest away from it all

And hearing the golden horns of nature’s call

Remember me in your visions

Of natural gods and electric fishes, those beautiful collisions

Of bright, bright stars swirling in the sky

In your visions too quickly gone by

Remember salvation and awakening

And the temple bells ringing

The tones of time slipping away

As the lotus you sit, and the thoughts no longer stay

Oh, you magical mystery in earthy green

You found something most have never seen

And you know now that what you came looking for

Was the journey and the adventure, the chore.
