Picky Eater

The struggle is real.

It’s the same old fight we have throughout the day.

Every day.

A fight you need me to win,

But you’re stubborn.

Let’s begin.

Have some meat.

No?

No meat.

Patience now, we’ve only just started.

Something simple.

Have some crackers.

No?

Macaroni, that classic favorite next.

Another miss.

What to do?

A gamble now with something green.

Spinach?

No need to throw a fit!

I’ve got just the thing:

Cheese!

But you like cheese!

Not today?

No, you don't like cheese today.

Now here’s a trick:

Eggs.

No?

Feeding the floor again, I see.

I’m desperate now, looking for the perfect fix.

Strawberries, sandwiches, toast, or soup?

No, no, nothing in the fridge will do.

Up, down, and all around,

I search the kitchen through.

Bananas?

Wait!

Bananas?

Yes!

I should have known,

Something simple, without bones.

And just like that, you’re fed for now.

Now to see what the next meal will be.
