There's a voice in my head

Spitting reason.

I can't deny

A choice I've neglected.

Afraid to choose for

Myself.

There's a consequence

For every action,

But I'm still living with

The repercussions

Of yesterday.

If a picture is worth a thousand words,

Why are mine still left unspoken?

Indistinct chatter

Clouds my ears.

The frozen look of emptiness

Behind a forced smile

Hidden away among broken frames.

Minutes caught still in nothingness...

Because I guess I forgot

That time moves on.
