Petals

Another nature love poem

Canola flowers in Poland.

We are a garden, you and I. We flourish and we bloom together, through the rains of Spring and the chills of Winter. Always standing side by side, our blooms sloping towards each other, instead of the sun. We are each other's warmth, each other's light, each other's life, and there is nothing more important than to see each other grow. As our petals open up in the dawning of the morning sun, we stretch our limbs, eyes opening to gaze upon the world before us. Two flowers, soft and vibrant, each equally stunned by the other's beauty. As the afternoon light turns golden, we sway closer together in the evening breeze, holding each other for warmth. The sun goes down, and we rest our weary hearts, petals closing in one by one, awaiting another day of miraculous beauty tomorrow.
