A Remembrance of Myself on Stressful Days

A remembrance of myself on stressful days.

Please read this reminder so you can contemplate.

Let's Begin:

Number one, breathe in deep and then take a step back.

It doesn't matter anymore, you've done all you can.

The situation has lost all of its meaning.

Soon, it will all turn to signals on your neurons,

becoming only distant memories to us.

Number two, turn, look and run, away from the scene.

Don't look back, for you won't escape from what you flee.

Stop asking questions this issue is past reason.

Ghosts of these problems haunt you until we let go,

So breathe in deep and close your eyes, then release your grip.

Number three, please refrain from opening up your mouth.

Your input won't matter, it never did or will.

Your existence is only a background image.

Just listen, look for holes that others brought about.

Then, stab at them with the fear that we'll have instilled.

Number four, lock yourself up in a serene cell.

There's nothing left, for we've been snuffed out in this world.

From the start, we were the stranger in the village.

So it's best for us dead men to stay where we fell,

within the rooms, in our beds, forever curled.

This list wasn't meant to relieve yourself of the fatigue.

It is a reminder of what to do to remain meek.
