Perfection

A Spoken Word Piece

Everyone wishes to be perfect. Working day and night to have some prospect. Prospect of life, on what matters, not looking in the mirror won’t change that it shatters.

Perfection: the condition, state or quality of being free from all flaws or defects. Also known as a belief, a lie, but you need to wish goodbye to all the things in your life that really don’t apply.

Beyoncé Knowles; encouraging people to look beyond their imperfections, to look at themselves as flawless, by they will never be spotless. “Perfection is a disease of a nation, it’s the soul that needs the surgery.”

Spending thousands and thousands to change their appearance, not doing good with any sort of perseverance. Why? Some people cannot even afford to think about that, just go have a chat with the man with the crooked hat, trying to keep his children alive just hoping that they will survive.

Society. “Society exists only as a mental concept; in the real world there are only individuals.” Oscar Wilde. Do you remember the child whom you knocked down and then he smiled? He smiled because he knew you were wrong, he looked beyond your imperfections, and with all the torment I became mentally strong. The truth is everyone is out to ruin you emotionally, you’re too skinny, you’re too fat, but listen, in ten years, 20 years, who cares about all.

Fifteen years I will be in an OR having the career of my lifetime, so why am I here doing my best job to rhyme? It’s to tell you that when reality comes, looks, popularity, and perfection won’t matter in the long-term, so why not make the best of it and keep your present firm.
