Pensamientos en La Habana = Thoughts In Havana
Deep in the catacombs of my checkered past
in a house that was not my home
in a room that was my own
I began thinking in something quite vast
and that first time would not be my last.
I thought of this relentlessly,
consumingly.
I knew not what was reality.
This very much changed me,
if fact, I was changed completely.
I felt incapacitated,
almost dilapidated,
but somehow, also reincarnated.
You can ask me about it.
I’m not shy about the subject
but I won’t have an answer.
The truth is I don’t remember.
