Would you like to double your wage? Even treble?
Then remember that in your life, you’re the pebble
Few things will happen that are out of your control
That will test you, frustrate and make you feel old
What someone might do or say when they’re out
Is not something one should fret over or worry about
Controlling your space is your one and only task
Ignore those who criticise you and look on aghast
Life is both long and can feel incredibly short
At its end, nobody reflects on the stuff bought
The craving of likes, followers, a social platform
Record, photograph everything like it’s the norm
Do something good or bad, no matter the day
Will always be someone with something to say
Whether applause or a snide remark ventured
Regardless of what is said, you’re at its centre
Believe in the almighty or believe in the devil
No matter what your beliefs, you’re the pebble
About the Creator
Q-ell Betton
I write stuff. A lot.
