Pathetic in Love
When did falling in love make someone so pathetic?
As I sit here,
The distance between you and me is painful yet bearable.
You glance at me,
I glance at you,
We lock eyes and questions fill my heart.
Who? What? Where? Why? How?
Who are you to make me love you?
What makes me so addicted to you?
Where did I fall in love with you?
Why can’t I take my feelings back?
How did I become so pathetic in love?
To say to much would hurt my pride
So I’ll just stay your “Fun Friend.”
I can be happy with that
while I wonder how I became so
Pathetic in Love.
