Patchwork Love

A Poem

Betrayed and forgiven

Again and again

Broken and mended

Over and over

This patchwork love

Betrayed and broken

Ripped in two by deep unknown

Never again forgiven

Never again mended

Always ripped in two by deep unknown

Pain unhinged

Again and again

Pain unyielding

Over and over

This patchwork love

Betrayed and broken

Ripped in two by deep merciless

Never again whole

Never again trusting

Always ripped in two by deep merciless

Questions

How could you leave me?

Why would you die?

Alone and afraid?

Cold and betrayed?

What were you thinking?

Where was your heart?

Dead and unmoving?

Torn and frayed?

Will i see you someday?

When will that be?

Today or tomorrow?

Years or decades?

How could you leave me?

heartbreak
