Passing By

Unconditional Divine Love

Loving someone who you are not,

or in the given moment cannot be with, sucks.

It’s as if he or she is the moon while you are the sun. You two are no longer one. You constantly pass by each other, when in reality all you want to do is touch them, hold them, love on them. I understand.

I too was once a man hurting from the loss of a woman, to whom I couldn’t hold with my own bare hands. I was her sun, she was my moon. Doomed and destined to never touch or caress and, it sucks. I want to eclipse and stop the world for a minute just to get to hold your hand. Just to witness your love... and guess what? That’s selfish. It’s selfish for me to only want you to myself. It’s selfish of me to feel or think I’m entitled like everybody else. You are the moon, you are not just my Luna but you shine for the world to see. I cannot be upset simply because your love is so unconditional, divine, and selfless you give your all to all. You love on all, you nurture all, you feel for all. As the sun I must appreciate the love you give, the selfless act of gratitude that is. So I will love you no matter how far, you are. Even when I’m in the sky and you’re far away. Even when I pass you by, when you’re making your way. I will cherish the times we get to see each other pass by. I will love watching you work as you shine in the sky, late at night. When the world is sleeping, I will hold you tight, with sweet thoughts in mind of your love meeting in the middle with mine.
