Parking Lot

A Poem

You were a rebel without a cause.

You didn’t care if you broke my heart,

and we stayed up passing hours in your car.

The high didn’t last too long.

Our smokes were almost gone,

and the bottle of alcohol had reached its final drop.

You said you needed to go home, and you’re

feelings had finally stopped..

You left all alone in the parking lot

We were a head on collision at best,

I swore I loved you even after the wreck,

how could I not give my heart a second chance.

All of your vibrant hues

turned into the darkest shades of blue,

and I knew that I had to lose everything I

worked so hard to get.
