I get so sad when I finish a book.
It’s only when I begin to remind myself,
I am a book,
My story is just as good as theirs.
My pages just as intriguing.
It’s only when I lie to myself
That I can walk in a straight line
That my ribs begin to expand again
That the pain that comes from leaving a word behind
Begins to subside
But then I read another book
