She is overwhelmed. She doesn’t know what to do. She needs to be set free to breathe. Breathing is hard when there are things blocking your passageway. Hooks of pain and stress have sunk deep into her flesh and she is screaming on the inside to have someone release the pain that is so deep inside. She screams. But no one hears her. She does wrong to get eyes that seek for only dirt. They receive dirt. They spread the rich soil of regret all over the ground in lake placid. Everyone is watching her with prowling eyes. She feels as if she’s being hunted and she wants to be set free. She wants to breathe and not be strangled backwards towards the the things that once tore her up into pieces.

Winner's Circle: Prompted #3
INTRODUCTION Prompted: #3 is over and done with. There were a total of 7 entries for this challenge, just like with Prompted #2. That was a bit surprising, considering this was a poetry challenge. The first poetry challenge garnered much more attention. Of course, one way to look at the drop in participation is that Vocal writers are not fans of the rondel.
