Over the Moon (I)

A Poem

She left, and it stayed with you

The way she did, lingered within you

She had a heart from heaven

But she was burning like hell

Can you feel the sun on your skin?

Or is it coldness that remains still?

With your lungs out in the open, breathing

Stars in her eyes, she was dreaming

And then, was when you wished

For her to be yours and be kissed

Like her eyes were your compass

While your drifting mind, was her guide

The second you realised it was sempiternal

Ephemeral thoughts... took her away
