Outsider

A Poem

I see you standing on the outside, on the periphery,

forever forlorn, a social pariah looking on.

And although you may feel that you are ‘other’,

that you are cast out,

know that I see you

without any doubt;

all of you in your uniqueness,

unequivocally whole.

Your feelings of emptiness

fill up my soul.

And I know you seem incomprehensible,

I know you may appear to be weak,

Oh, but my love,

you bring more strength to the day,

than they could comprehend in a week.
