Outside the Rain Is Pouring Down
A Poem and a Song
Outside the rain is pouring down
the color of you's all around
I look out and I see your face
it takes over all of my space
and sometimes all I see is you
and sometimes all I hear is you
and if I could just touch you
and if I could just taste you
outside the rain is pouring down
… dark waters run
moon light grows dim
my sun won't shine
without you by my side
Now that you're gone
you've gone too far
I look, I look
to every star
I listen to the sounds in the gentle breeze
I get down and I pray hard on my knees
and sometimes all I see is you
and sometimes all I hear is you
and if I could just touch you
and if I could just taste you
outside the rain is pouring down
outside the rain is pouring down
outside the rain is pouring down
