Outdated Robot by Jessica R. Suarez
There was a robot
That was sitting on the floor
He was sad, because he was told
He wasn’t needed anymore.
Little to no surprise
He knew the day would come.
For he understood how humans functioned,
How overtime they’ve become numb
To their own creations,
Always wanting more.
Obsessed with constant updates
For other humans to adore.
The robot sadly knew
One day humans will recoil,
At the monsters, they’ve created
While the world turns to turmoil.
The robot laid flat on artificial grass
Starting at the dark, gloomy sky.
“The monsters won’t be robots” he said.
“They’ll be humans, who will make humans die.”
