Here you were, thinking you needed to talk to someone
Telling him or her about how you need to heal from this loving
And along came this brother who, you trust so dearly
And he says, let her be, she isn't worth it
But then you keep trying to keep away but you can't help it
You see her everyday, admire and yet, still say nothing
Can't get her off your mind and she rules your sleep in your dreams
You tell her and then she says No, you came at the wrong time
And your friend says. "I told you, let her go bro"
And then you decide to pretend she never existed
But then you know a part of you is missing instead
It's like having a jam but still, without a good loaf of bread
You decide if you gonna part ways, at least there must be a reason
So you dress up, take a cab, knock on her doorstep
And she opens the door, let's you in,
Offers you a sofa to seat
And you speak out all the words in your heart
Tell her how much you miss her and how it tears you apart
But suddenly she said she is with someone else
And you are down casted and beaten about how you lost this pretty gem
Even though she said she hated relationships
Less than a month she is seeing yet another dude
And she says "please leave, my boyfriend would be here soon"
A knock on the door meanwhile she is in the kitchen, cooking Italian stew
You, rushing over to open the door
A startled face as it was a figure with a rose and a chocolate box
Just as you look from the feet to the head
You realise it was that friend who said she wasn't good enough instead.
