Our Weeds

It isn't bitter.

I tried to grow faster than the weeds that were rooting into your mind. Every step taken would cause the weeds to get tighter and stronger. I never compared to the weeds that have been growing for centuries. Never would I be able to help create new life with you.

We were supposed to grow closer and entangle within each other. We ceased to grow; practically reached our peek of growth.

Uprooted myself from your dead patch; saw better growth elsewhere. Till I got there. I reached the point of loneliness and deportation.

The weeds came back. My weeds came back. Dried and painful. Now trying to pull my weeds up for disposal, exactly what should have happened to you.

I tried to grow with you.

Instead, you decided to slash the weeds when it could no longer make a difference between us.

Deep down in my ugly patch, I hope those weeds find a way back to you.
