We are a nation of depressed teenagers,
Fighting our feelings, being suppressed in cages,
We need an outlet, an ally, a friend,
Someone to make all our pain end,
For struggles and battles and rattles inside,
The only think keeping us alive is our mind,
The thought that one day we would not be here,
To spread kindness and joy not hatred and fear,
To live the lives we wanted to live,
To rid the people we wanted rid,
To be happy and free, not trapped in our head,
Our battered bodies in hospital beds,
We wanted more from this life, to live and to love,
Not meet with the angels way up above,
Our family and friends need us here,
To keep them safe, the keep us near,
Not thinking every day, ''it'll be over soon'',
But to look up at the sky ad the see laughing moon,
To try too hard and fail a test,
To beat yourself up because you're not like the rest,
You deserve everything you want,
To run, to dream, to have a body to flaunt,
You deserve the moon, the sky and all the stars,
To own a home and say ''honey, its ours'',
You deserve to love and to laugh and to be happy
And have a child on a swing screaming, ''mum look at me'',
The future belongs to you and you only,
So what are you waiting for?
Go live and be free
