Those 3 words are shrouded in cliches
Used perpetually in B movies and rom coms alike
But it has a much deeper meaning
Goodbye is not see you later
Goodbye is not we will meet again one day
Goodbye is I'm gone forever
Goodbye is the final farewell
The last bastion of hope if you will
It is never easy
It's almost always the hardest
But one day you will be happy
You will achieve all your dreams
With someone who cares and loves you
Like I did
But someone who you love and care for just as much.
Shakespeare was wrong
It's not better to have loved and lost
It's much better to have never loved at all

Stuck in Place
Amy whistled as she walked through her front yard, looking for any sticks she could pick up and throw into the pile she and her brother were making. They had a big windstorm recently; as such, all the trees in their yard had suffered some damage in some loss of sticks. Or perhaps losing those sticks was a good thing since their trees probably needed to be pruned anyway. Amy wasn't sure.
