There it stands.
The guardian of our house
Your trunk and branches
Beautifully painted with shades of natures wear
Your leaves changing from yellow, green, to brown
With branches reaching towards the sky
Not all of you dances, just your arms.
Summer comes and we are protected from the sun
You rain juicy orange mangoes from top to bottom
There was once a swing on you
But you have grown older now.
Some branches just aren’t as strong as they use to be.
But you still continue to stand.
Watching over us.
Day by day.,,
Night by night…
You protect us from the strong gusty winds.
You protect us from the heavy rains.
And we are always forever grateful.
Tall, firm, and as beautiful as ever.
May you last 100 years.
