One Leaf
Have you ever seen something so perfect...
One leaf
with the perfect shape
no imperfections
different from the others
it's special
it almost seems out of place
yet somehow it fits in
you don't notice it at first
but you know it's the leaf that can change your life
it has sort of glow to it
It speaks to you like nothing else ever has
of course
it's the perfect one
when you look at it your sadness melts away
when the leaf is gone you may never find
something like it again
some may be close to perfect
but none will ever be like yours
they will all be subpar
no different from the leaves around it
but this will be the leaf that stays
no picture will capture it

Before Sylvester the Cat, there was Sylvester the Dog
Sylvester was a Merrie Melodies canine Sylvester, the Cat, is a beloved Looney Tunes character who debuted in March 1947 in the animated short Life with Feathers. The iconic Mel Blanc once said that he enjoyed voicing Sylvester, one of his favorite characters. The cartoon short that was near and dear to Blanc's heart was Bird's Anonymous which starred the popular cat.
