If all of the madness of the world
could be condensed down into one
little poem...
I'd do it.
If all of the sadness in my heart
could be ripped apart from my spirit
and poured out into a lyric
I'd do it...
If just one life could be saved
by a fleeting moment; brave, as to
allow another to escape themselves
for a mere moment,
I'd do it...
If time could be stopped; removed
from the clock, and tucked away
in a tool box in God's attic...
I'd do it...
If nothing ever became, of
these words that ran from the
heart of my cage
- to the lines
of this page...
I would do it,
anyways.
