Oh Me, Oh My

My Demons I Fight

I wish life was more about love and less about strength

More about laughter and less about pain

More about fun and less about who will perpetrate

Where in the world is there peace to be saved?

The little things, so minuscule in our day

Bring joy to our eyes, but it never stays

Life is hard, work on this, this way

Life is easy, said no one,

not even the bed ridden stray

Darkness devours as the light delays

Worthless showers of demons dismay

Happy for a few hours or is it a state

Positive cowards lying to their fate

Seems everyone has their bullies

Mostly themselves and the worlds worries

Financial debt

Lonely juries

Demanding justice that will never be served, sorry

Apologize for theft of what feels right

Sins all left within the night

We are blessed

Oh yeah, right

We’re all a mess

Sent to live out hells fight

Take your meds

It’ll be alright

The thoughts in your head

Will carry on despite

You may think

You have all this might

Then why are you always at battle with your mind?

No matter the armor we bear on our hearts

We will never get to love too far

Push away negatives to the stars

They’ll just burn you right back to the start

I’m sorry

I’m sorry

The world is sorry

Tears you cry

Sorry oh so sorry

Bliss only comes with goodbye

Oh me,

Oh my
