Of the Stars
They flicker in the distance.

Hazy against the heat of the night
They flicker in the distance.
Their light is a sacrifice
For time is vast and we do not know of the fate of such things
But we are of the stars
Even though our light is small, our gravity pitiful
We are the children though we do not know how to bloom forth sometimes
The stars look down, their death far away
And we comforted for it is a force we cannot
Comprehend
Mirroring love
For it does not care for titles or time or the future
It does not care for logic or reason or the cruel hand of reality
Love is as the stars.
Vast, distant and calm, a force of violent beauty, and within and without us.
