Ode to My Horse

An Old Poem from Way Back Then

I love you my darling horse.

I guess I should know,

That you know of course.

Your beauty is like freshly fallen snow

From the way it twinkles in the moonlight.

Oh, I know

That your love for me is stronger than a hurricane.

There is no horse in the world

That I will ever have the same love for.

You are the key

To my freedom.

I read you like an open book.

You're as brave as a soldier

In a front line battle.

Though sometimes I forget,

How wonderful you are.

The fur on your body

Is softer than silk.

You're as fast as the wind

And as swift as an eagle.

You're stronger than superman

In a child's dream.

I feed you treats

And you take me on adventures.

You are the most wonderful creature

And the best of the best.

I love you my horse

Forever and ever.

If you happen to think not,

Just put my love to the test.
