Odd Fall

The title is odd but it will become clear

Just study these words feel what she feared

There was a “girl” who fell for a boy

He would play her like a little toy

He had her heart but did not have his

He always had her thinking “man what gives”

She learned his tricks and his ways

Then she began to beat him at his game

He fell for her and everything that she was

He felt like he was in love

She was finally happy until he was yours

She soon found out nothing ever truly is hers

She learned of the one who conceived

She always thought “was it my fault, was it me?”

It’s not her fault that he went to another nest

It’s not her fault he layed on another’s chest

It’s not her fault she fell for his ways

And now she knows but her heart is at delay

Her heart skipped and jumped off a plane

Ever so sad she learned news that day

It’s not her fault that she did fall

It’s not her fault her life is odd

This “woman” now has moved on from this boy

But now her heart will never truly live with full joy

She can never feel this way

Her heart has been struck at a forever delay

Sad to say it’s based on a true story

And maybe one day she can forgive that “I’m sorry”
