October Girl

A Poem

By Dylan LongPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

It’s a brisk October night

She was standing with a smile

That made the dark sky

Bright; oh, what a sight

Her eyes so pure

They make the sky look gray

Just one little glance

And you’re trapped with no cure

A night to remember

Her beauty so vibrant

Her essence so exquisite

I’ll be reminiscing until December

She’s a sight to behold

Not a joking matter

She’s the buzz of the town

And the truth be told

A major topic of discussion

Has never been more straight-forward

She’ll get your heart beating

Like you’re a drum playing for percussion

I am a college student currently attending Boise State University. Up until now, my freshman year, I always struggled with creative writing. But now I have finally decided to change that. I plan to write in a broad spectrum so stay tuned!
