Ocean Eyes

A Poem

By Hailey AndersonPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Believing all the lies,

Understanding his demise,

She looked up to the skies

Trying to disguise

The incessant way she cries.

She believes it would be wise

To create a compromise

That way the two could rise

Otherwise

It would end in a mere reprise

Although she’s one to realize

The destruction he begins to televise

She prevents the thought to euthanize

Or Finalize

So, she begins to rationalize

Every day she hates to visualize

A life without him, to her it terrifies

But she isn’t one to visualize

The way it is to tranquilize

Her soul, she’d soon solidify

For even though she tries,

To see right through his lies,

She’s still hypnotized by his ocean eyes
