Sometimes I feel afloat
On a tiny raft
In the middle of the ocean
With no rescue in sight
Every time I see another ship
And they come close
It's just a sailor passing by
Like nothing is wrong
That I am not in trouble
And everyone knows their course
Not floating in the ocean
Lost, like me
Someone once said
I was a lighthouse
A way for sailors to get home
But how can that be
When all I see is ocean
All around me
With ships just passing through
And no one staying long enough
To call me home
