Different Kinds of Love

I unknowingly just watched you age
And it was such a weird phenomenon
Because
I don’t know you
I see you everyday
My brother’s roommate
And I wonder who you were as a young girl
What Estonia was like
While I sleep each night on your couch
Imposing myself for another few months
I discover the desire to find the you in all of the you’s I see
Your relatives came and brought these pictures of you
Looking sassy
Some white mock neck shirt
At 16
Older than even your parents
Red candles burn
And it looks like home
And behind that smirk
You looked comfortable
I’m so sorry you are no longer comfortable
Los Angeles must be hard
America, harder
