I had to do things to make you see,
And make a change to realise.
But the for coming weeks will be,
And you will see with your real eyes.
That you can't keep being cold,
Or acting like it's a normal thing.
The things you do are bold,
And are not like a human being.
It's really tough not to say a word,
Or act like your not around.
As we should be strong like a sword,
To conquer the love I found.
I go on and promote you as I'm proud,
To have had a person like you.
Now I must stay close to the ground,
Which may take a year or two.
I must move forward to see the light,
And embrace who I've become.
The things I do give me delight,
Even though I know we're done.

"You can't send me!" "There is no-one else. It's you or no-one, and that is not an option." Ameera looked at the fat paunch and florid face of her boss, a man who lived for the story and the kudos it brought him but who rarely gave consideration to the people behind the drama. When had he become so hard? She reckoned that by the end of the year, he'd be dead, collapsed from a heart attack and she struggled to conjure any sympathy in that moment and instantly felt ashamed at displaying the same lack of compassion that he had.
