Nothing Left to Write For

Poem

I feel uneasy with life again.

The only thing to appease me is my pen.

As I hold it, I feel something strange.

This little instrument can make such a change.

So I will write until your heart aches.

I will write until this nib breaks.

And I will write until there's nothing left to write for.

Page empty, get it filled.

I'll keep on writing even though the ink has spilled.

Some things just need to be said.

But I'm much better at writing it down instead.

So I will write until your eyes no longer cry.

I will write until you let your imagination fly.

And I will write until there's nothing left to write for.

Summer's here but I don't crave sun.

I won't go outside until this poetry is done.

My muse has a lot to say despite the weather.

I've got to put these written thoughts together.

So I will write until the cartridge drains.

I will write until the light hurts my brain.

And I will write until I settle the score.

And I will write until all the questions are answered for.

Yes, I will write until there's nothing left to write for.
