Not Everything
For When It's Working and It Isn't

Got up early for class, and came straight back home
Having left you between my sheets
I had things to do, but I didn't want to
So I lay there and watched you sleep
You have freckles on your eyelids
Your breathing is heavy and slow
And when you open your eyes to look up at me,
They look greener than usual
Haven't I done a good job of making it seem like nothing's wrong?
I could convince the whole world that we're happy by omitting just the right things
But I don't believe in deceit, so I made this refrain for them to sing along
We're beautiful, and full of love, but that's not everything
We're beautiful and full of love, but that's not everything
