There's no wrong way to do right
I know that sometimes we look at our lives
And think that there's no end to our pain in sight
And I know there are so many questions
So many regrets that keep us up at night
But you have to give it a rest and get some rest
Because there's more to you than meets the eye
There's more in store for you than what you just want to take
And if you could just see past your mistakes
You would understand that your life is like a lake
Fresh, clear blue and every decision you make is like the rock you skipped artfully across the surface
That you knew would eventually sink to the bottom
And you can never retrieve it
It's just too far down
If you try to get it back, you will surely drown
Anyone that sees it will perceive you as regretfully insane
You haven't yet figured out that every choice you make is necessary
And I know it might seem scary to think about the outcome
But once you toss that stone, all you're left with is your reflection
Even if it looks like you might have taken the wrong direction
And you feel like you've done nothing but create stress
And you're sitting there feeling like less of a person
And this may come as a shock to you
But you are no worse than the person you were the day before
The only way to be sure is to stop looking back and start looking forward
Start looking toward what you're reaching for
Wear your experiences like a bulletproof vest
The rest will fall into place
You might see that the answers have been staring you right in the face
Move at your own pace
As long as you understand that everything that you do is necessary
And though it might seem scary
At some point, your inhibitions will melt away like superstition with every carefully thought out decision
When that happens, right there is when you'll see light
Right there is where you'll know
There's no wrong way to do right
