No One Speaks My Language

Except For You

No one speaks my language

Not anymore

It's the language of humour

The language of

Out-weirding the weird

The language of authenticity

The unveiled potency of

Human nature

Others have tried to speak

This obscure and strange language

But have only managed

The most watered down dialect

In the best of times

But you

You speak it

You

The one who understands

My sudden outcries and random quotes

Of nonsensical ramblings

You

Who understands

My hushed National Geographic voice

Narrating mundane events

With sarcastic humour

You

Who joins me in singing

The most disgusting made-up songs

All for a laugh

You

Who proposed with a cherry ring pop

You

Who once presented me

With a heart-shaped potato

To proclaim your undying love

You speak my language

You know the words

To my weirdo song

While all the world

Looks on in bewildered exasperation

You are the only one

Who speaks my language

love poems

About the Creator

A. R. Ambrosi

I like to write, if that makes me a writer, then rock on!

I started writing as a child because I ran out of stuff to read. So, I only write stuff that I like. If you like it too, awesome! Enjoy! ^_^
