No One Is Truly Here

This is one of the first pieces I have in my poetry documents. Its main themes are being lost, existential crisis, society, nihilism, and learning to grow.

No one is truly here

to wipe away your starlight tears,

For that is not their purpose.

No one is truly here

to watch you for all these tiresome years,

For that is not their purpose.

No one is truly here

to give a sweet whisper in your ears,

For that is not their purpose.

No one is truly here

to be your long-loving dear,

For that is not their purpose.

No one is truly here

to hug away all of your fears,

For that is not their purpose.

No one is truly here

for any reason at all.

Is that the reason for such treason,

for society to fall --

right in front of us,

face flat.

In fact:

No one is truly here

to rule.

No one is truly here

to drool over.

No one is truly here

to act so cruel

towards humanity;

that contains such mental insanity.

No one is truly here.

Especially not you.

Now, dear friend.

Please, tell me:

Where do we actually stand?

For what true reason are we here for?
