Your music makes me feel a way, that I can’t explain
you give me hope
you once told me that no one is ever born alone
bringing fondness to my heart; with thoughts of my mother
you told me of your aching heart, filled with honey bees,
making honey from your darkness
Allowing me to rest, in the knowledge that
out of bad things, good things may arise
You told me that what I was looking for was never gone,
rooting me to where I am, in appreciation of what I have here
your voice gives me the chills
and your guitar, is a little wooden boat
carrying me down rivers
which roam through my mind
your lyrics are always the right words for me to hear
no matter the day
you give me freedom from this cage
providing me music to my dreams
Maybe one day, I’ll be just another young Dad in corduroys
and if I’m ever so lucky
I will thank you Nick Mulvey
