Nice to Be Cruel

The happier someone makes you feel when they're there,

the sadder you feel when they're gone.

The more you are there for someone,

the more abandoned they feel when you're gone.

The greater someone is in their life time,

the more tragic it is when they're gone.

The more you bring healing in your life time,

the deeper the pain when you're gone.

Did it ever occur to anyone

That maybe,

just maybe,

The people who we think are bad

Are just trying to save us the anguish when they're gone?

Maybe the seemingly not nice people

Are just nice people thinking ahead.

Maybe they have been sacrificing their reputation all these years

just to prevent pain and sadness from engulfing their loved ones when they're gone.

So is it cruel to be nice and nice to be cruel?

Truth is,

Only G-d knows.
