Never to Forget

For That Person Who Showed Me How to Be a Man

Upon a shooting star I called

For the man my life belongs

The man that held me when I was small

Who taught me right from wrongs.

The star was asking what I sought

What moment I could relive.

With no second lost I knew within

What moment I would not give

To be with he who made me

Who held me when I was low

He, I saw above me

That cast a bright shadow.

No matter the pain and journey

No matter the mistakes

He’s the one I’ve always known

To guide through all heartaches.
