Nature's Battle

A Poem About Things Unseen

Acceptance. Was all she wanted.

Mother Nature had battled Father Time.

And he devoured her

the way time does

her sandy beaches which were once white became black.

Father Time had become close with the “world's” fury

Nature and Time were a team no longer.

He grew mad killing Nature slowly

She only weakened as he strengthened

As she grew more and more feint she questioned him

“Time I do not understand we used to be a team. When I would plant a seed you would make it grow. However when I bury them now you only dig them up. You have made me grow weak, and yet you do not care.

Why?

Why have you done these things Time?”

In his response he grabbed her fingers and said

“my pet, I grew to love man. He treated me cruelly and took me as useless. But I adapted to his ways and now my heart is cold. I will continue to kill you slowly until the end of I.”
