Nature Caressing Me

Yosemite Withdrawal

The earth below my feet grounded me. I was connected to the trees through the roots in the ground beneath my body. The wind brushing against my ears and skin, softly playing through my hair. It gave me a hug as it disintegrated me into air. The loud beauty of the rushing water could be heard from the lake nearby. No flowers around me, but I didn't mind. There were tall green trees instead. Only one bird could be heard. Hypnotized by its song, I followed and found a red jay. My eyes glued to it, until it flew away. If only I could perfectly explain how I see everything, but the words could only flow through the sensation of nature caressing me.
