Natural Disaster

A Poem

I’m a natural disasterBaby, I can break open your windowsYou won’t let me inside, I want to see you cryYou give me many emotions, and I’ll never lie

You make me sad and I’m the rainA violently falling mass of emotionsThe beating on your roof is a vibration from your phoneAnd it dripping off the roof is me forgetting my sadness

You get me mad and I’m a hurricaneA storm that never stops following your tracksOnly you can see me, hear me, and you don’t want to anymoreBut baby, I’m a monster, and I won’t stop until I have what I want

Make me happy, honey, I’m a warm spring dayNot too hot, not too cold, destructive in just the right wayBecause I love you more than anything, but I can split any secondJeez, I really like your face, why didn’t I notice yesterday?

Get me excited and I’m a lighting storm with a little bit of rainAn exotic paradise of pleasure and painI throw down the strikes, but then I see your pretty pupilsI stop for a minute, then I come back doubled

Now that you've seen me, inside and outNow that I’ve broken your windows, and given you doubtDo you still love me like you loved that warm spring day?Do you still love me, with this mess that I’ve made?
