A wall of fears built up, a bridge of trust torn down
Took a left at a red light, wrong way and turned around
A light once shown so bright, a beautiful girl
A sweet soul, lost in a dark, insensitive world
She was carefully crafted, made with fire in her veins
Her spirit brought up through the earth, wind and rain
The universe had taught her she had to be so strong
She had to shine through darkness and know she wasn’t wrong
A wall of strength built up, a bridge of shame torn down
A lost girl was not so lost, she just needed to be found

In 1979, the English astronomer Fred Hoyle famously remarked that outer space would only be an hour's drive away if our cars could travel straight upwards. While technically true, the vastness of space makes it incredibly remote. For instance, it would take 400 billion hours for a car to reach the next star over. Before Sylvester the Cat, there was Sylvester the Dog
Sylvester was a Merrie Melodies canine Sylvester, the Cat, is a beloved Looney Tunes character who debuted in March 1947 in the animated short Life with Feathers. The iconic Mel Blanc once said that he enjoyed voicing Sylvester, one of his favorite characters. The cartoon short that was near and dear to Blanc's heart was Bird's Anonymous which starred the popular cat.
