Flying in his plane lookin down smilin while Katrina hit and staked her claim

No pictures of Dick or John tellin their lies

No Rush ranting over what makes no sense

The revolution will not be televised

The revolution will not be brought to by the Academy’s or Grammy’s

And will not star Denzel or Halle

The revolution will not give you video hoes without self-worth or purpose

It will not make you rich or rid you of your insecurity

It will not fill you with silicone or false hope

Nor will it smooth down imperfections that make you less perfect

The revolution will not be televised

There will be no pictures of the dead

Floatin in the disasters from faults of man

No radios explaining how all this will begin

No Facebook statuses or Twitter feeds

For this revolution will not be televised for anyone to see

There will be no pictures of kids shooting kids

Or men abusing our precious women

There will be no pictures of the police draggin around the hopeless

Or the Government killin the less fortunate

There will be no pictures of neglect or homelessness

No television set can prepare you for this

This revolution will not be televised

Cause its already here and alive

This revolution is here

Here to make you stand up and take a chance

Here to allow you to choose and say no more

This revolution will make you proud

And bring you the glory that we have all been waitin for

This revolution will make your voice be heard and well known
