My Sunshine

letting her go

She came when I needed her most

I was sad every day

And a friend like her was all I longed for

She was energetic and gentle

A good listener and companion

She always brought sunshine to my day

And provided cuddles when I needed comfort

She was my angel

My best friend

I loved her as if she was my own kid

And they used her against me

They ripped her from my arms

And I watched in horror

As my baby slipped away

Forever

Every day I miss her

I cry out for her in the night

My heart continuously breaking

Every second she's not there

Have they no heart?

Will I ever find her again?

Look into those sweet golden brown eyes

That never ceased to smile back at me

She's gone

And my heart went with her

I just hope she doesn't miss me

I pray that her endlessly joyful spirit

Never dies for even one second

For if she is happy

Despite my absence

I can let her go
