Sometimes I wish I were a bird
And like the Phoenix I would rise
Until the struggles from my day
No longer show in my eyes.
Soaring high through the clouds
As the sun warms my skin
Floating higher with the breeze
Tempting me to breathe in.
Sometimes I wish I were a bird
Longing for the days to be set free
Being released from all emotions
Just rays of sunlight, my wings and me.
Spending my days bonding with nature
Counting the stars as I relax at night
Letting my mind wonder deeper into the darkness
Until the world is no longer in sight.
