My Roses and Your Violets
Roses are pink and violets aren't blue.
Roses are red
But all are not.
And Violets aren't blue,
They're violet.
Shouldn't that be obvious?
It's literally the name of the flower.
But I digress.
Roses are red,
And Violets are blue.
When I get into bed,
I can still feel you.
Sounds sweet?
Nice and short,
Like a little birdy's tweet.
Or a song of some sort
But some roses are pink
And the scientific name for violets is Viola.
Yet I continue to digress
Roses are red
And violets are blue
I remember the day you said
Our love will always be true.
Yet my Roses are pink,
Your Violets are not blue.
But our love makes me think
Of the things we thought we couldn't do.
Like Love each other.
Despite of what they say.
Because they aren't our mothers.
And even they can't get in our way.
Because my roses red,
Your violets are blue.
And never will I ever dread
My future with you.
